There’s a reason that 98% of Subarus that were sold 10 years ago are still cruising on the road today — Subarus are simply built to last. The 2019 Subaru Outback is no different — this car sports sleek design without sacrificing the ruggedness and versatility that’s made the Outback such a treasured line.

If you’re interested in the new Subaru Outback, continue to read our model overview below. Otherwise, come browse our impressive inventory of new Subaru cars at our showroom in Longmont, Colorado.

Highlights of the 2019 Outback

Performance

The 2019 Outback comes available with two choices of engines — a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine capable of providing 175 horsepower, or a punchier 256-horsepower, 3.6L 6-cylinder engine. Both engines sport a horizontal layout, which affords the Outback a lower center of gravity and, by proxy, a smoother ride.

When it comes to handling, the new Outback seeks and succeeds to impress its drivers. Each 2019 Outback comes equipped with Subaru’s Active Torque Vectoring technology, which automatically senses steering and braking inputs to help provide sharper, more agile handling.

Additionally, thanks to its 8.7” of ground clearance, the Outback is capable of conquering any terrain you throw at it. This impressive durability is only bolstered thanks to X-Mode, which incorporates hill-descent control to help you safely traverse steep grades.

Safety

With its impressive suite of new safety technologies, the Outback is as reliable as it is powerful. Each 2019 Outback comes equipped with Subaru’s EyeSight technology, which assists drivers in a variety of ways. Not only does EyeSight monitor traffic movement, optimize cruise control, and warn you when you’re veering out of your lane, but its application of Pre-Collision Braking has proven to reduce rear-end collisions by 85%.

This car also comes available with Blind Spot Detection, as well as Rear Cross-Traffic Alert technology. Blind Spot Detection will alert you if cars are approaching from your blind spots, while Rear Cross-Traffic Alert will warn you if it detects cars approaching from either side as you back up.

Reverse Automatic Braking is also available on this model, which will automatically apply the brakes if it detects you’re about to back into something. As an added bonus, each 2019 Outback comes standard with a rear backup camera, as well.
